BETTER SCHOOLS FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
My name is Tracy Phillips, and I am excited to be running for the position of District 1 Lompoc Unified School Board Member. As a former science teacher at Cabrillo High School, I am eager to bring my experience, energy, and vision to the school board.
Why me?
Data shows that our students and staffs face challenges not previously encountered in education. The goal of public education is to provide students with optimal learning opportunities and to provide staffs with the necessary tools to ensure that becomes the reality. And our LUSD students and staffs deserve no less. Having taught a broad spectrum of students in junior high and high school for 36 years and having been involved in a number of school improvement programs, I look to bring my expertise and insights toward improving the educational environment for all our students. I look to ensure that all our students have the learning environments needed to realize their potential and our staffs have the support needed to aid in that effort. And parents should be assured that we are working toward that goal. Our LUSD School Board needs the perspectives of one who has been in the classroom working with our students, staff and administration. A person who has worked as part of the team to forward student success. I believe I can fulfill that need on the school board. I ask for your vote and support so we can work together to ensure educational excellence for our students.
